Hi,
Thanks for looking at how to sell your Wisdens via our Catalogue,
The main benefits to sell via wisdens.org is that we only charge a small single figure commission and supply you with expert advice all along the way from listing your books to the buyer confirming receipt. Our commission rate is very favourable and a huge saving compared to auction houses @ 30-40% of what the seller buys the books for, plus we always obtain market value for the books and not two thirds or half as some people will offer for them. It is like a private sale with extremely cheap expert advice and access to a very large mailing list of serious collectors.
We have sold some quality Wisdens this last two years, including every hardback from 1910 to date along with several very early editions.
Please contact us for advice and/or to appear in the Summer Catalogue.
What people have said about us:
Mr P bought a 1910 & 1911 Hardback and came back to buy a 1908 Hardback
From JD:
"I have bought five original hard backs from the catalogue, a 1913,
1915, 1936, 1940 and 1942, and I can say without exception that I have been
delighted with them all. When my current liquidity crisis abates, I will
definitely buy again, not least for the following reasons:
1) Authenticity. Everything I have bought is authentic. If you are a visitor
to the Wisden.org site you will see that authenticity is all, and to that
extent I would be very surprised if anything other than the real deal made
the list.
2) Accuracy of descriptions. Having been burned by buying blind at auction
on the back of limited descriptions, I have to say that I've always got what
I thought I was getting from the catalogue.
In a world where prices are rocketing, these 2 points are key. I will
happily buy again."
Mr C:
"Buying Wisdens from the forum catalogue has always been a good experience. You are dealing with fellow Wisden lovers and everyone is keen to conduct the sale of the books in the fairest way. You know that you will get books as described nd at good prices. Chris Ridler runs things professionally. I do not hesitate to make purchases. In fact, I look forward to the next new catalogue coming out"
Cheers
Chris
