As you may know already, WisdenAuction was never created as a revenue generator, the fee is just to keep us going. So giving out prizes throughout 2009 is a way of saying a big thank you and giving something back to our excellent members so there will be some well deserved prizes throughout this year with a main draw just in time for Christmas.

How to win.

This is simple, just use www.wisdenauction.com, as you currently are!

There is a monthly prize draw and a yearly prize draw - The more you bid/win/sell the more tickets you are awarded so you have more of a chance of winning a prize, in more detail...

Every time somebody bids the buyer & seller of that item gets awarded a draw ticket, every time an item is won the buyer & seller of that item gets awarded draw tickets (the higher the selling price the more tickets you will win). Bonuses too for no reserves and low starting prices!

Every Month we will calculate the number of tickets for each member and all the draw tickets will go into a hat and one lucky winner will be pulled out so the more you bid/buy/sell the more chance you have to win.!

In December the whole years tickets will be entered into the year end draw,  7 tickets will be picked out along with the highest bidder, highest seller and one random monthly winner. Tickets will be back dated to 01/01/09.

If nothing else, it will be good fun collecting and accumulating the draw tickets.

Tickets will be awarded to each user as follows:

For items ending under auction:

• One ticket for every valid bid on an item awarded to the bidder.
• One ticket for every valid bid on an item awarded to the seller of the item.
• One ticket for every £10 of the final sale value of an item awarded to the bidder (rounded up to the nearest £10 so £78 is 8 tickets)
• One ticket for every £10 of the final sale value of an item awarded to the seller (rounded up to the nearest £10 so £78 is 8 tickets)
• Double tickets to the seller if no reserve is set on the item and it sells for double the starting price (or higher).

For items ending under Buy Now:

• One ticket awarded to the bidder.
• One ticket awarded to the seller of the item.
• One ticket for every £10 of the final sale value of an item awarded to the bidder (rounded up to the nearest £10 so £78 is 8 tickets)
• One ticket for every £10 of the final sale value of an item awarded to the seller (rounded up to the nearest £10 so £78 is 8 tickets)

Buy Now always takes precedent on a dual item.

Your odds of winning in each draw are "Number of Tickets You Won"/"The total tickets awarded to all"

If the biggest ticket winner is not one of the highest buyers or sellers then the main draw will be for 6 users, the 7th place now going to the leading ticket winner.
